Conforming to the FIRST website rubric

  • Content
    • How well does the site explain FIRST and promote its vision?
      • Someone needs to write original information for this.
    • Does the website include helpful resources for other FIRST teams?
      • Incomplete, someone needs to write up some helpful articles and advice.
    • Does the website contain helpful non-text content such as music, sound, animation, or video?
      • Yes. Add more video.
  • Visual Design
    • Does the website communicate a visual experience reflective of the identity of the team?
      • Update the layout to include more blue. Ankur knows what needs to be done.
    • Does the website contain visuals relating to the current game and the current season’s work as a team?
      • We still require additional photos.
    • Is the home page inviting to all readers, or is it cluttered with team member specific information?
      • Yes, as far as a current evens page goes. Up for discussion.
  • Functionality and Interactivity
    • Does the website work well and the homepage load quickly?
      • On-server photos load slowish
    • Do the links work throughout the site?
      • Yes. Keep an eye out for this. Also, the top-level organizational links link to home page. This is counter-intuitive.
    • Do external links open new, separate browser windows?
      • Do new tabs count? That should count...
    • Can I easily return to the website from an outside link?
      • Most likely. This wiki is kind off off-site I guess, but that's ok because it's a resource. There's a link on the front page though.

  • Enter the Video competition (is it too late?)

  • Make sure Team info is complete everywhere
