Final Build Weekend: Saturday

We have moved our robot to Tony's house for the final build weekend. Here we are painting the "plunger" which will be used to knock the balls off the rack at the beginning of the game.
We will be here all weekend, putting final touches on the robot. We are mainly focusing on decorating and painting our robot today as well as sticking and painting decals on plexiglass which recognize our sponsors. We will also be practicing driving and test our robot for glitches.
A big thank-you to Mrs. Pimenova for bringing us a delicious lunch with sandwiches, chips and lemonade.

And in the end...

David fell asleep on the floor and we just had to take interesting photos of him...

Consequentially, the "plunger" is now called the "maypole" due to the nature of its candy stripes.
The decals posed quite a big of a problem at first, because we were not sure how to make them look professional. Spray paint, our first choice, would have looked sloppy. I finally came up with printed decals on transparent label paper, and they are looking good.
Also, I do not usually wear those pants. They are just my painting pants.

Yay!!

Yay! I works! I personally dont like the candy-cane part of the plunger, but w/e I'll just deal. I'm more surprised that I works. Now all we have to do is wait...

Ah, and the fabric paint was

Ah, and the fabric paint was problematic as well. We eventually made felt "1899"s to glue on to the bumpers instead. Now that I think back to it, we could have gotten stencils (cut out of paper) and spray painted the numbers on.
And your pants don't actually look that terrible in this photo...
